Why do most strategic plans fail? Most strategic plans fail to move the team in the right direction due to ineffective strategy deployment/execution. Below are some pointers to ensure your strategic plan is successful:
Develop a strategy deployment/execution plan that defines who, what, when, and how.
Recognize that those involved in the strategy development/execution may not be the best at the deployment/execution the plan.
Deployment/execution requires discipline and attention to details. Strategy developers are often big picture thinkers that may fall short in the details of deployment/execution.
Strategy deployment/execution consists of a series of projects. Find good project managers skilled and motivated at completing projects.
Keep the entire team aligned on the progress of strategy deployment/ execution through two-way communication.
